Lookism - A possible bromance brewing

Lately I have been obsessing over a manhwa about a bullied-turned-into-hottie or should we say he got himself a body double, literally. He can't explain and doesn't understand how it'd happened so we'll leave it at that. But the thing is his new body that he can switch into whenever his original body falls asleep, is a fucking GOD. It is pictured as an almighty beauty that can cause havoc anywhere he goes, and it's true, he somehow manages to capture the attention of anyone which is good and bad.

The manhwa's story line is one of a kind, different to any I have read and a good character development. Bullies are common in manga and manhwa but this manhwa was able to turn such a serious topic to a light-hearted read. I have since grown tired of reading tragic stories and needed a break from dark themed books, my heart could only take few. I could write a long ass blogpost about this manhwa but I won't because it isn't BL related and this blog is solely for my love for man-to-man action.  Anyway, I recommend this to anyone and I mean EVERYONE.

I got a little side tracked and forgot what I was originally planning to write about, well let me introduce to you my favourite character from the manhwa, Ja Yeol.

His character is the guy who seats at the back of the room with no care in the world not until our boytoy, Hyungsuk, shook his world! Yes, yes, yes! I am feeling the tension from his body and the interest he has for this new face, but it seemed to be one sided. He is not very good with his words and can only manage a couple of written words and a nod whenever he's being spoken to. But there's a catch, his background is a mystery, he lives in what seemed to me is an expensive condo unit,  he has abundance of money to try to buy hyungsuk off an auction which he wasn't allowed to. He also gave him "moon balloon" amounting to almost $10000 and to top all that he gave him bags and bags of designer clothes and shoes for his birthday. Where could you be getting all these money from Jayeol? But the thing I am most curious about is whether you have a thing for hyungsuk. Always tailing him, showering him gifts, looking at him from far away and having his back in times of trouble, that may be a normal thing for people who have strong friendship but Jayeol's character is distant, cold and indifferent, he is not someone who would take a punch for another person but when it comes to hyungsuk who he barely knows and exchange a few words with is something uncommon. So let me drown in my fantasies that my Jayeol is indeed into Hyungsuk. 

Yaoi VS Reality

Let's all be honest here! If yaoi scenes really do happen in real life there'll be chaos, tears and blood everywhere. Let me list you the common scenarios in BL manga that will undoubtedly get a different response in real life.

1. Blackmail-Rape-Love

       

Now tell me, who doesn't like Hidoku Shinaide?! Because this brilliant manga deserves all the love it is getting! A handsome boy sees his oh-so-genius classmate cheating and decided to blackmail him into having sex with him or else the pictures will be leaked. What the?! Absolutely cute! or not.

The way the artist build each character is amazing. A light -hearted manga with a sexy art to top it off! She made you think that Maya is in love with Nemugasa, hence the blackmailing sex. He wants him for his own. A rebel falling in love with a nerd is one heck of a cute plot. But had this happened in real life, Maya would be branded as a blackmailing-gay-rapist and would be in jail by now. Nemugasa's affection for Maya will be a Psychological effect called Stockholm syndrome. Not so cute anymore isn't it? 

I can give a lot more of popular BL manga with similar theme (Rape). 

2. Teacher-student-relationship

          

One of the biggest NO NO in real world but taboos seem to be everything in yaoi world. Even though Kaede isn't Rintarou's homeroom teacher he is still his tutor which is almost just the same. I can say that this story is absolutely adorable and needs to be read! Gaaaaah. I'm promoting! Well, anyway, Just like in the Hidoku Shinaide, the author did wonderful job on creating such a heartwarmingly cute manga. Kaede's adoration for Rintarou, and Rintarou's innocence is just perfect but in reality Kaede would go straight to jail and will be prohibited to tutor again. 

3. School Sex

What the fuck?! That'll be your first reaction once you've heard someone's had sex in the school premises but we have a lot of that in yaoi manga. Hatsujou Animal characters were even bold enough to have sex at an open field where they can be seen by students from both schools they were attending! Let's not do a reality check because we all know how absurd this is. 

4. Incest

Not even going to lie, Not Equal made my morality waver but I got a hold of it. But then again, made me think once more. "They don't have that father and son relationship anyway, it should be okay, right?" Naaaah, morally, it isn't. "There won't be any fruits from their love making, it should be okay" But... "There won't be any defects because there will be no offsprings" but.. "It is consensual" You have no idea how many times I had this inner thought battle. Anyway, incest mangas usually are so convincing they make you sympathize with the two involved. Or more! but real life situation like this surely won't get as much sympathy, love and support from people around them. Reality bites.

I think it is safe to say that Chinese BL novels are the best kind of BL novels. I'm not saying that Japanese BL novels aren't no good but I'm not saying they're the best either.

On the other hand, I have never read any Korean BL novel (Poor me *__*) I just don't know where to get and read them. So if you know a good one, please let me know!!

Anyway, back to the topic; True Star is one of the most excitingly beautiful BL novels I've read my whole life. It is funny, brilliant and captivating all at once. I was afraid I was going to hate it because it has an almost similar plot with Feng Yu Jiu Tian, but I was wrong. This may be plot-like but it has a different feel. This novel has a mysterious aura, and I am so ready for it. 

The plot is catching and will leave you wanting for more; Too much cliff hanger though. The characters are different from each other, the writer did a great job on building up the personality of each characters. Which character suits which character. The only problem I have with this novel is each chapter has few words. Building a nice plot with a no more than a thousand words can be tricky, so far they are doing a good job, but some other chapters, I find half baked. It is also the reason why the translation is already at chapter 50 but it hasn't made a significant progress at all. 

But all that aside, it is beautiful, and I highly recommend it. 

I'm having a hard time trying to convince myself who I want to pair up with our Tang Feng. We have a huge selection of tachi surrounding him, but I'm still rooting for Charles.

Hello, It's been FOREVERRRRR since the last time I posted something here on this weird blog but today is the day that I resume from posting non-sense rubbish posts. So anyway lets get straight to it!!


     I never really liked porns that was directed for female viewers *Insert-CoatWest-hetero-film* *Insert-surprise-straight-sex-from-rude-companies.* I don't know the reason but it seem so boring and unrealistic because if I was gonna fap to something, I sure am going to reach for the sizzling hot films rather these absolutely heart meltingly sweet Jesus of porn but girls do work in mysterious ways, they go wet for things that are too sweet, gentle and mellow. (Not ME though) I never even watched any from Silk Labo, The cover itself screams Vagina-Penis-Sex-Only or Gentlest-Vagina-Sex-EVER. and people are still arguing that it was directed for male viewers as well?

    We know that some of these "Gay" porn actors do straight porn also, Coat West actors for example, Sho said he was straight yet still acts for "money". Gay for pay. It is not really a big deal that's why when I saw these actors featured in this documentary I didn't get shocked that these guys were in one or more videos I uploaded. They are definitely good looking, young and in style, what every girls would want their porn actors to look like, not those sleazy old men from stereotypical Japanese porn specially that these porn are made to for female needs.

      I very rarely watch straight porn, either my friend made me watch it or I accidentally found it on my friend's phone. I need to watch same gender porn to get me going even if lesbian porns are not made for lesbian girls.
     I Sometimes feel offended when some surprise hetero sex just slips into my downloaded porn, I edit that shit right away. It was clearly for Bisexuals.

The Great Happiness Space : Tale of an Osaka Love Thief

This is in no way BL related but I think this documentary is something anyone would Enjoy watching, Very informative and an eye opener for all of us. If you guys are into Ouran HS Host club, You'll think that being a host is amazing, fascinating but this documentary will really enlighten all of us on how the "adult industry" works. There are plenty of BL manga about Hosts, they are always the "Handsome" "Pretty" type of guys, but the lifestyle the hosts has to live in were left untouched. This Documentary won't tackle about the hosts alone but everyone that revolves into their jobs.
